No matter what the obstacle is, pushing through thick and thin, Team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag will never give up! In 2017, #TeamSHKS was proud to announce our participation in one of the most challenging ocean racing competitions in the world -- the Volvo Ocean Race (2017-18 edition), now known as The Ocean Race. Journeying over 45,000 nautical miles sailing across four oceans and more than eight months of intense sailing onboard the Volvo Ocean 65, we are proud to have been part of the journey. Carrying our sponsors core ethos of enduring, adapting and excelling at what we do, the team kept pushing themselves to the limit, embodying the true spirits of sports and the Scallywag ethos; "Never give up".
Our journey now brings us to a new goal -- to raise awareness and inspire the youth in both Asia and internationally the adventurous, yet incredible sport of sailing. In 2019, Team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag will be sailing in the Caribbean, Europe and Asia, before wrapping up the year with the 2019 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race!
